  • Congratulations to you and Dave on the LVI Pipe Show!
I appreciated and enjoyed your recap, and the “thank you” portion of your rave. Nicely done.
Shane was a wonderful guest, and the conversation about tobaccos was both informative and fascinating. He presented some really good reviews on what is available, once again giving the lie to the perceived paucity of good tobacco.
What can I say about Pitch Black Manor’s tune…meh. It just isn’t my bowl of smoke. Their clever YouTube videos for the earlier “Monster Classics” album are, for me, more interesting than the music.
Otherwise, a very entertaining show. Thanks.

  • You did an excellent job of recapping the show. I wish I could have gone but what are you to do. I can hardly believe it that only 200+ people came to the show. I would have judged it at least 500 or more in attendance. Every picture I saw the tables were all crowded with people. I thought you and Dave did a great job in organizing it.
I realize Shane’s job requires him to hype the Laudisi products, but I thought he went a little overboard with it. While he stated that there is no shortage of good tobacco you must admit it would be wonderful if Dunhill, Balkan Sobranie, Elephant & Castle (??), Bell’s Three Nuns and a myriad of others that made great tobacco were still doing it. It drives me crazy to see a brand sell to someone else and they change the blend of some goofy reason.
The music portion of the show left a lot to be desired. I realize that there isn’t a ton of Halloween songs to choose from but there’s Monster Mash, Haunted House, Addams Family, Ghostbusters, etc., to pick from.
