  • Another entertaining show. Phil was a fascinating guest. His English perspective on the pipe community was quite refreshing.
In “Pipe Parts” you missed a refillable lighter that I, and some of my club brothers, swear by, the Xikar Resource II. At $60, with a lifetime guarantee, a built-in fluid level window, tamper and scraper, it’s a great deal.
I really enjoyed the Jody Davis tune.
    Thanks,
    Dino

  • Great show Brian, but if I am not mistaken, I believe you overlooked one of the best inexpensive refillable pipe lighters- the Zippo with a pipe lighter insert. This has been my go-to for many, many years when lighting my pipe outside in windy San Francisco where I live. Big soft flame, doesn’t burn the pipe rim, and reliable as rain for under 20 bucks. And no problem carrying it aboard a plane when flying domestically.
