Thank you for joining us for The Pipes Magazine Radio Show—the only radio talk show for pipe smokers and collectors. We broadcast weekly, every Tuesday at 8 pm eastern USA time and are available on nearly all podcast sites and apps. Listen on your computer, tablet, phone and even in the car! Our featured interview tonight is with Beau York. Beau is the co-host of one of the only other podcasts about pipes and tobaccos, Country Squire Radio. He is also the founder of Podastery, a syndicator of podcasts, and Satchel, a podcast player app. For the show intro, Brian will discuss Norman Rockwell, who amongst many accolades was a pipe smoker as well. For Christmas music, we will have another pipe smoker, Bing Crosby singing Winter Wonderland. Sit back, relax with your pipe, and enjoy The Pipes Magazine Radio Show!

Tonight’s show is sponsored by SmokingPipes.com, Cornell & Diehl, and Savinelli Pipes and Tobaccos. Please give them some consideration when making your next pipe or tobacco purchase.

We hope you enjoy our 1-hour show produced just for you—the pipe smoker and collector. The following link will launch a pop-up player. Alternatively, you can download the show in iTunes and other podcast sites and apps after the initial broadcast is complete here.

  • Very interesting bit on Rockwell. I had no idea Kinkade like Rockwell so much. It was nice to hear “the real” Beau, he definitely was more of his down to Earth self for the interview, and less podcast personality. It’s just interesting to hear him on the other side of the talk. Happy holidays and have a great new year.

  • Norman Rockwell is an American treasure. I can remember as a young boy in the ’50s just marveling at his Saturday Evening Post covers. They were truly great.
Beau York was very entertaining. He doesn’t really know much about pipes but doesn’t claim to. He does know a lot about podcasting and it showed. He is the classic example of an entrepreneur. He may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer but he knows how to make money.
Bing Crosby. You just don’t have to say anymore.

  • Your interview with Beau was excellent. This is the first podcast I’ve listened to and you’ve got me hooked! It was thoroughly enjoyable. Any recent news on Dunhill’s stopping of production? I heard it was a 12-18 month ramp-down last January. A bourbon and pipe-smoking Bible study is my kind of gathering! Thanks so much and I wish you and your family a great new year. Hope the Manchester visit goes well and I look forward to your next podcast.
