Some years ago @fishnbanjo started a most interesting thread, which I thought I'd revive.

Please nominate and show (photos please):-

1) Your most elegant pipe
2) Your most true to form (ie classic shape) pipe
3) Your most unique pipe
4) Your most smoked pipe
5) Your oldest pipe

I'll post my selection later. There were some really good looking and interesting pipes in the original thread

Great start to the thread Hoosier. Great bunch of pipes. The

That SRV squat bulldog is a most beautiful example of classic design. I'm envious! Smoke it in good health.

Those Wolfsteiners are something else ! The only description of them is "unique". I still can picture @fishnbanjo's Wolfsteiner

That pipe is his unique process, combination of blast and carve. Paul brought that pipe with him to the Chicago Pipe Show, for me, three years ago. First time we met in person. The pipe smokes amazing and is great to hold.

1911 BBB - with silverwork by Barling Bros - pipe royalty !

1. Most elegant has to be the Jess Chonowitsch 42E7B951-CB1F-49D0-BC1B-B311CBDD40C7.jpeg
2. True to shape - A lot, but I would select this Savinelli Giubleo d’Oro as one of the most popular shapes, and I consider it a timeless classic
4162E674-28D3-4223-AB33-BE272919DA34.jpeg
3. Tough choice - I have the Sasieni “Banker” shape, the Dunhill “Diplomat”, the Sasieni swan neck bent billiard, but I would go for this set of Sherlock Holmes/Watson meerschaum set

902A0963-A0CD-4DE6-96DE-73DDFFDABE5C.jpeg71411453-81A8-48D1-9D88-B9C311471FAB.jpeg
4. Most smoked is this Sasieni Four Dot Viscount Lascelles
497E7C55-EA2E-4BA1-8747-433E10C40AE9.jpeg
5. Oldest is this “Specially Selected by Sasieni” One Dot Canadian with a 1925 patent

My most elegant is definitely this Thorpe (the photograph really doesn't do it justice):
IMG_20210310_161100.jpg

My truest to form is a clay cutty churchwarden. No point posting a picture. My most unique is this BC:
IMG_20210310_161446.jpg

But I'm gonna give an honourable mention to my rock & roll Ardor:
IMG_20210310_161422.jpg

My most smoked pipe is the Moretti morta; briar it would be the Mustran (absolutely the best engineered pipe I've smoked to date):
IMG_20210310_160952.jpg

Oldest I'm not sure, I'm pretty sure these (a Marxman, a BBB, & an Orlik) all predate my Charatans:IMG_20210310_160805.jpg

My upper echelon pipes are a Ferndown smooth bent billiard, a Ser Jacopo blast slightly serpentine Dublin, a Kemberling (Austrian) smooth bent Rhodesian, a Nording zebra hunting pipe, and a Peterson Around the World series bent bulldog in honor of Ireland. For the listed categories, a whole different cast of pipes would be shuffled in on a highly subjective basis that few would understand.
