Just to get the thread started I must say it has been over 3 years since my last pipe purchase. I know that's terrible but it's the truth. My latest purchase was a Savinelli Black Set 606 edition.

I bought a new Morta (bogwood) pipe last week, simply because I'd never tried one. It is a stunning piece of work from master-carver Chris Askwith. It looks beautiful, is amazingly light - an easy clench, has a lovely hand-feel and needs no running-in.
As advised by Chris, I tried it with Latakia-containing blends, in this case my SG and GH Balkans. He was right - the perfect partnership!

If you haven't seen the photo of Roth's Morta pipe, search it out. It is more than a pipe, it is a work of art. As for me, the Ashton below is my latest acquisition and I doubt I'll be able to get better.

I just ordered a marbled clay Dutch Gouda pipe from Penn Valley(pipeshoppe.com). Just waiting for it to arrive now. So begins the long wait...

I just bought this unsmoked Radice Rind billiard from SP.com during their estate sale.

Since my other two Radice's are such good smokers, I couldn't pass this up for the price.

I jumped on a Stanwell Sixtus billiard a month ago. This is going to be my last purchase for a long while, as I really want to focus on stocking tobacco, not to mention the fact that I'm back at school and have more expenses to think about.

My new Stanwell (to celebrate being gainfully employed again) was my most recent purchase (well, not counting the Walker Briar Works Forever Stem that I got right around the same time). I'm planning another purchase in the next few months, as I could use a good briar for English/Lat blends...

As Forums members may know, I pursue the quest for quality pipes at low-end prices, and I think I bagged one

with my most recent purchase of a zulu/yacht Chapuis-Comoy from tobaccopipes.com for just over (wait for

it...) thirty bucks. Guys, not a cheapie pipe at all. Nice briar, classic shape, quality stem. I'm afraid I bought

the last one, but I think the restock from time to time. Other good pipes of that brand in that price range, for

those of similar thrifty compulsions. Might get a pipe for my birthday next month, who knows? I have about

forty pipes, which is plenty, though that never stops anyone.

NordingValhallaPipeShape201.jpg

my latest purchase. Nording Valhalla 200 bulldog. I really like bulldogs without the bead lines. I broke it in with Escudo. The pipe made my first experiences with Escudo very pleasant. I decided to make it a VA pipe. My other VA pipes are a Nording Moss F freehand (below) and a Savinelli Morino Prince. The nording freehand has a deep, conical bowl that makes it great for VAs, and I've also been playing around with layering 2 different tobaccos. I've found that I like a VAPer on top, and a mild VA on bottom (like PS LTF)
