Just popped a 2011 tin of butera pelican and it looks like this... Would you smoke it?

I’ve seen that before on some Gawith stuff. It wasn’t fuzzy, it was more like crystals. The look didn’t put me off, but boy did it smell bad! In your case, I’d follow my nose. How does it smell?

To my eye with just these pics, it doesn’t look like mold. Does it have a strong moldy odor?

Very meaty. It doesn't smell bad, but very pungent. Smells more like beef jerky and soy sauce than any tin I've ever opened

I looked at it with a magnifying glass and it does look more crystalline, but there are some yellowish spots in the crystals that have me wondering. Plus the fact that I've always been a plume naysayer, but i think I'm gonna try a bowl. Got some drying now

Smoking it now, when the first replies seemed optimistic i loaded and lit up.
It is amazing. Easy to keep lit and complex as hell.

You should see the crystals that form on brined snuffs. (strongly sauced moist snuffs which at some point the leafs are soaked in brine and scenting agents). That was my first thought. I'd smoke it. I've had a few tins form crystals and trust me all the things wrong with me where already in effect well before smoking those tobaccos. Now if it taste bad when you start smoking it then it's gone bad.
