Can someone tell me if this is an original stem? I’ve seen Sea Rocks with colored stems, but usually a little more subdued than this one. The style of stem seems right for the stummel, but original? I’m no Castello expert, but I have my doubts. Hmmm... I'm not going to pretend like I know anything about castellos.

But... Don't their stems have the thick white line???

See... I know nothing
I’ve seen quite a few Castellos with no white bar on the stem. I don’t know if they were also replacements or not. I have seen a few that have a sort of stamping from the factory on the bottom , but no white bar. I’ve also seen some where the bar has fallen out, and in the right light or angle, it can look like it was never there in the first place.

I am no Castello expert, but that looks like a Freehand-style stem blank. I don’t recall seeing a stem like that (the flare from the tenon, then the bulb). I think that shape usually has a stick bit style stem.

Not the original stem. Look at how it fits at the shank!!

that pipe is ugly. It’s like a more rusticated Grabow freehand. I wouldn’t pay more than $15. I like how the rim has been buffed down too. Looks good.
