Why This Error Message?

I've been trying to post a reply to a thread but as soon as I click on 'Post Thread' I get the following error message.

Oops! We ran into some problems. Please try again later. More error details may be in the browser console.

I've tried rebooting my laptop but it makes no difference.

Any suggestions guys?

I’ve never encountered that, only the timer if I post back to back.

I get that message sometimes. But it seems it's only if I have a thread open on my phone for an extended period of time, go do other things, and come back and THEN try to post. Then I have to delete all my words, refresh, and try again.

Thanks for the tip Didi, I did as you suggested but for some reason I'm still getting the error message.

Sounds like something in the thread has changed from the time you opened it and when you post. I usually get that when a thread closes just before I can post my "IBTL", which becomes moot.

I also get it if someone else posts before I can, changing the page before I can post.
Otherwise, I am not sure.

If it’s a regular occurrence, I recommend composing your post in a text editor or word processor first, so it doesn’t get lost.

I actually e-mailed the body of text to myself to save me typing it all out again.

Very strange all the same as clearly I am able to post on this thread.

I am currently experiencing server delays, but it's much later than Jay's problems. at 9:16:32 AM PT on Friday, May 17, 2024

Could be that the server timed out but didn't give you proper notice.

Yup, it's probably this Cornish electricity we use down here, not quite pure enough for my Korean made laptop.

On my mobile device i just have to pull down and reload the page,but then my ph8ne isn’t full of beastiality porn, you might want to try deleting that and trying again, i suggest the 2 terabyte thumb drive for portability.

Also forcing a page to reload will usually fix that issue. So one or the other.

I haven't gotten this particular message on here, but whenever I do get some kind of error message anywhere online it's always worded as "we", which I find annoying. Who the hell is "we"?

I have received that message when my connection to the internet goes out or shuts off (interference, weak signal, gov't spying, alien ufos etc.) and when it comes on I find I have to re-sign in to the forum.
