Why Is "Three Nuns" So Named?

I did a DuckDuckGo search of this site and I don't think the question has been asked (or answered) before but apologies if I missed it (as an aside; quite a few of the responses thrown up by that search engine - basically anything with 'Three Nuns" failed to open properly in this site).

Anyway; does anyone know the history of this blends name?

It was so that they could use the phrase "Nun better" in the advertisements, and calling it One Nun sounded lonely, and Two Nuns sounded too scandalous.

Nah, I just made that up, but I bet it is close...

Nice article, but it doesn’t address the etymology of the brand. At least not that I saw in my skim through it. Maybe I missed it. Why “Three Nuns” became the name may be lost to the ages.

First nun saw Jesus turning water into wine. The second one saw Jesus walking on the water. The third one was smoking a pipe and missed both miracles. It was going to be "Third Nun", but "Three Nuns" sounded better.

yeah I certainly would. Trust me if you get a chance to hang out with three nuns or three whores either will have interesting stories. But one of them is less likely to make you feel guilty about minor moral transgressions.

I imagine it's a weird way of hinting at it's component leaf. That's what I've assumed. At that time implying purity also was considered a good marketing strategy and nuns are known for their cleaning habits.
