Where did pipe shapes get their names?
Some make sense.
A Brandy for instance. OK I get it shaped like a snifter.
And of course there's the ball, and the apple, and the horn, and likely other self explanatory ones I'm forgetting.
And I've read that a Billiard was orignially shaped using lathes used to make billiard cues. I guess I could buy that. A Billiard is sort of shaped like the butt end of a cue stick.
But what about a poker? Why is it called that? Is it poker like red hot? Or is it something to do with cards? What?
How about a Calabash?
Rhodesian?
Dublin? Made first in Ireland?
Zulu?
Others?
