Looks like his parents cried foul upon finding his texts, not him. I expect that he -- if he's a typical 15 year old young man -- was happy as a clam until his parents (from his perspective) ruined things.

Also, as you as a lawyer probably know better than any of us, her "grooming" and "assault" could very well have been his initiating overtures, that she responded to, and it would get labeled like this just because of the age category that each was in.
(I am not claiming that was the case. I have no way of knowing. I'm claiming only that, if he had come on to her, it still would get categorized as her grooming and assault.)

I used to teach about relationships; one chapter was on safety: 1) Physical safety 2) Emotional safety 3) Community safety (which is actually how well her family and friends accept you) and one other safety (I forget the last one don't make me look it up). Many relationships are unhealthy and people stay in them. Then they get "Nachoed". I had one relationship in which I had to (metaphorically) jump from the train before it got to moving too fast. Always remember not to be Nachoed. Also remember that the beautiful woman you talk to online may in fact be 3 guys from North Korea working a scam.
