Papipeguy, I loved that pipe the first time you showed it on the forum, and anytime you want to sell it just let me know.

I love everything about it and that accent piece on the stem is the cherry on the split.

When I first pictured myself smoking a pipe, it was a bulldog... Along with billiards, they are the most recognizable and iconic shape to me...
I had a meerschaum bulldog, but it smoked poorly.
After 4 years of smoking a pipe, I got one this past week from Boswell...
I also attended a well known ivy league school with a mascot of a bulldog... though I don't think the bulldog is actually smoking a bulldog. I think its a bent egg or billiard.

It's all in the imagination, but a fine billiard lends to the pipe smoker's personality, but a bulldog also has personality just sitting on the rack. A well-shaped, well cleaned bulldog speaks for itself. Or barks for itself. I have four bulldogs and don't need any more, but I am always tempted.

I just bought another bulldog. I ask again, why do bulldogs make us crazy? This is my second Stanwell shape 32, in smooth; the first is Silk Brune. Compact pipe with a bowl wide and deep for the pipe's size. Almost bought a Stan 191 bulldog, but I like this one too well.

This one at SP looks really nice. A bit stubby at 133mm though.

'Really like the blast/smooth finish. Bob Hayes did one like that in a kind of cream beige, but it was far more striking than that makes it sound. It had a kind of effortless flow, not even a very big pipe, just really brought together.

They feel good in the hand. Wider bowls for more complex blends. I think the scream "man of importance".

I like the look and the feel in my hand.

I find it interesting how that style can be interpreted in so many beautiful, unique and interesting ways.
