Well, now what? I know, I know, “get to reading…” !!! Excited to dive into this a bit and trying to rev myself up for the patience it’s going to require to let this age. I’m planning to taste it as is and then try some very simple casing before jarring it and forgetting it.
Hope you enjoy it. I've got some flakes stashed away aging a little while. I will say though, the WLT perique is one of my favorite periques. I processed it and had a bowl of it straight and thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait to dig into my whole leaf blends in a few years. I've enjoyed what I've smoked so far. And it's fun processing and blending
I never case with anything but water. I have occasionally used honey water for some bright and yellow straight blends or when I have to use more DAC than I want but it's rare. DAC is the key. Or even Perique. Either will balance it. You could offset a bit with red orange but DAC is best. Smoke some straight first then add DAC a little at a time to adjust. Each batch I've found is a bit different. I don't know about WLT. I hear they have great tobacco. Im local to leafonly so I just drive and pickup. Just grabbed a bunch of organic yellow, bright and DAC for a batch.
