I know this update has been long overdue and I want to say thank you to everyone who sent me a message on here and FB. You guys are awesome!
As many of you know, I have Lupus and Fibromyalgia and until just the past few days I haven't had health insurance. The stress of the house being foreclosed on, finding a rental, and moving sent me into a very serious flare. Lately I have had about 3 hours a day where I'm able to get out of bed. The majority of that is used to take care of the kids, although I've sucked at that too. I've been in ridiculous amounts of pain and that just makes me a miserable person to talk to so I haven't talked to anyone. I've also been very easily confused and unable to remember even simple things and communicating has been very hard. I know the word aphasia all too well. I also haven't been smoking as much lately - the meds I'm on right now have basically quash all the craving and the whole pipe ritual has become very frustrating as has just about everything. The past couple of weeks I've been trying to smoke at least every couple of days because it really helps with the symptoms.
Once my insurance card arrives and I can get to the doctor, I'll be going through some more testing and trying out some immuno-modulators. Hopefully I won't end up on the specialist carousel that I ended up on the last time things went seriously wrong.
Anyways, that's why the long absence and I'm not sure I'll be online as often as I was before until we get this figured out.

Wow, that's pretty s#!tty. I hope you can get a good meds-combo that'll help you get out this pain and back to a normal routine. Look forward to seeing more of both you and Shaun.

I hope you are able to find the right medications that work for you, and in a timely manner. My wife had to play the so called "guinea pig" for a long time before they found the right combination of meds that worked for her. Heres to "You" for getting better soon. :puffy:
