Between Jalapeno chilis and Fresno chilis?
Same Scoville rating. Same colors (green turning to red with time) Same size.
Some markets even sell Fresnos as Jalapenos and customers apparently can't tell the difference.
Me? I'm an equal opportunity chili chomper but I find myself curious about other's experiences with
the noble capsicums

I went through a super hot Szechwan phase, but now I've dialed it back to just a pleasant warm buzz that elevates the other flavors of the food without making heat the whole experience. Standard spicy for Mexican food, and medium for Thai and Indian.

I always remember the waiter in a Thai restaurant pointing to the pepper in a delicate clear soup and warning me not to eat it. It was just for flavoring. I didn't, and it was.

Fresno chilies mirror jalapeno peppers, but are slightly hotter, smokier, and fruitier. You can substitute one for the other.

My stomach can't take much heat anymore, but the mouth and brain crave it.

Try slicing lengthwise and marinating in pineapple juice. Then stuff with cream cheese, top with panko bread crumbs, and wrap in bacon. Next, smoke or make until the crease melts and the bacon is crisp. Serve with mexicali ranch or a fruit jam.
