This post will take 2 minutes to read and it is worth every second to do so.
It is interesting how reading this made me think what a horrible potential future we might face, while at the same time it made me smile.
Please read it and add to the comments at the bottom.

I truly hope that it never comes about like that Kevin, but at this time, I don't see anything that would prevent it. Except maybe people like yourself, and the rest of the members here.

When did it happen that the majority in this country lost their voice? Is the main media that powerful now?

The way I see it, they learned the art from Dr. Joeseph Goebbels in the aftermath of WW II.

They turned from reporting the news, to creating a public perception of what the news should be, to advance any agenda they thought needed advancing.
Nothing is new in this world it seems. It's been done before, at some time, somewhere.

As you know, Dr. Joseph Goebbels was Nazi Germany's propaganda minister.
Do we have a proaganda minister in this country? I don't know, but isn't it strange how all the main stream media, including late night T.V. talk shows, the NEA, even the comic book industry, seem to have the same talking points?
Good smoking my friend. For as long as it may last.

A very scary story, but closer to coming true than any of us would like to think. The day may come when you can walk in to a store and purchase packaged and gov. taxed maryjane but poor pipe smokers will have to go down to some back ally to score a couple ounces of burly or vaper.

When this oppressive taxation destroys the industry politicians will lose their revenue source. To preserve revenue flow they will redirect the taxation to other things -- things even today's non-smokers enjoy. By then it will be too late, and non-smokers, who felt that they didn't have a dog in this fight, will realize what they have allowed the Democrats to do (to this country.)

I do agree cortezattic. The anti-smoking movement is going way to far. I hope we do not have to try to endure outrageous taxation on the foundation of our glorious hobby.
