Hey, all! I've just come by a Missouri Meerschaum Ozark Mountain hardwood and was wondering what would be best to fill it with. I'm a newbie and have read a lot about different tobaccos smoking differently in certain kinds of pipes. Any thoughts on what would be best for the Ozark Mountain?

My Xmas present to myself will be a natural finish "Devil Anse" maple pipe made by Don Warren. I was planning on smoking nothing but Virginia's in it. For some reason that baccy feels right in a hardwood.

I think you'll be okay with whatever you have on hand. If you'd like to follow up on the suggestion

for Virginia, a good bulk Virginia is McClelland Red Virginia Cake. You might want to wait, or start

slow with the Latakia blends. Not everyone likes them, and a lot of new pipe smokers don't like them

for a while, until they get used to pipe smoking.
