What kind of pipes can you get from a drug store?

I bought some pipes in drugstores 45 years ago, when there were more options. I wouldn't buy a Grabow under any circumstances. Nothing wrong with MM, but I'd rather buy from someplace with a bit more selection that gives a damn about what they are selling me.

Warren, knowing what I know now thanks to the forums and the radio show I may have just decided to save my money. The Dr. Grabow I got was my first so I wasn't sure what to look for in a pipe. I have gone back to that store to look at the others on the shelf. Aldecaker is right about the packaging, makes it hard to get a good look. I couldn't tell if any of the others were constructed better. I have since gotten a basket pipe from the local cigar shop and have been satisfied with it. ::

I haven't seen anything other than an MM cob in a drugstore in years.

Dr. Grabows or cobs are good first or everyday pipes: sturdy and inexpensive
