In my opinion, this is one crazy cool, unique and desirable pipe. I am thinking $2,500.00

I would go to $1,750.00 but I think it will blow past that.

The last picture with Mr. Sark holding the pipe relly puts it in perspective.

Wow, some shape! You'd think at those prices the photography would be top notch....

I think $2500 is a good guess. Never had an Eltang pipe myself, but he sure does a wonderful stain!

Three years ago one unsmoked one sold for $1730, there is an Elephants Foot Snail Grade currently at $2550 but it isn't the equal to this pipe so I'll stick ny neck out an opt in the $2250 range, it is simply gorgeous.

The design, briar's quality and manufacturing of the best Eltang's pipes can push the desire not to care of the price.

If the seller, that I don't know, is considered as a trustworthy one don't take care of my following objection: observing the chamber it looks like a smoked pipe, doesn't it?

Eltang is my favorite maker...I've always wanted one of his bamboo pokers. Possibly tied though in my briar lust would be a blasted apple by Former. This pipe is really beautiful. Shape, finish, size, everything! Wow.

I currently have three Eltang pipes in my quiver none of which I'd trade for anything, he makes a great pipe but I do need a smooth one by him.

First is the Ballerina an homage to the late Bo Nordh.

The second is a very early Cutty by him in Vergin finish I have never seen another.

The last is the gorgeous slightly canted Poker sitter with bamboo shank.

I saw this one the other day and drooled a little. It's a beautiful pipe! I think it will go for slightly over $2000, maybe $2100?

Gosh all three of those are too beautiful. I almost bought a virgin cutty just like that from someone about a year ago but my play-money ran out due to stupid car repair. Drooling here!

I know the seller is top notch but if that pipe isn't smoked Tom had an off day applying the bowl coating. As an investment grade pipe I'd think twice. Look at the chamber pics.

Otherwise a stunning piece.

Tom had an off day. I love his pipes, but sold my old Tubos because of the bowl coating. Its waterglass. At least mine was. And terrible.

@Jackswilling - Thanks for showing me my new favorite pipe on the planet. I'm drooling over here; The birdseye, shape and its simple elegance are astounding. I'd throw down three grand right now, if I had it, and wouldn't blink an eye. :worship:

Hey, this pipe is still bidding. Thought it had already sold. Up to $1530 now with three days to go - even higher than that Sav 320 *** in the other thread! In this case though, it is a killer pipe with some true drop-dead gorgeous to die for bruyere. About as nice as they come.

I thought I would throw up a bid. So if no one else bids, I win. I expected it to immediately say "outbid" but for now, I am the high bid. Won't last long.

I was hoping to unload some hot copper wire in exchange

Coopersark could be Coppersark when we settle up

Re: the Bowl coating, It can be sanded out. I have done it on an Eltang Cutty.
Which is a great pipe incidentally.
