Oliva Serie V Melanio Robusto this evening after dinner. I really like this cigar.

Aladino 85th Anniversary. The marketing on this one is the use of a varietal of Cuban-seed tobacco called Piñareno, grown in Honduras. I'm through the first 3rd, and it's a bit dull so far, but starting to add a bit more of a flavor profile beyond Honduran terroir and pepper. Billed as mild-medium, I'd say it's more medium+ with a pepper profile similar to the Vintage Selection. Unfortunately, unlike the Vintage Selection, this one is no bargain. Unless it improves, can't really recommend it when the Vintage Selection, regular Aladinos and the Aladino Cameron can be had for a fraction of the price and are superior smokes. Maybe a bit of age would have helped this one develop a more interesting set of flavors. Nothing offensive about it, though. Really could use a bit of sweetness.

Brother I'm having my 1st of these today. I overheard the owner at my B&M saying the retrohale was phenomenal. I like it but agree if its worth the price point. I picked up two. I've been consciously retrohaling most of it and I will say there is a marked difference in flavors. Construction and draw were spot on.
