This evening I only have time for a little cigar, and came across a RyJ 1875 Petit Bully. It’s a little mild, maybe even bland, the draw is pretty tight, but the aroma is very pleasant. It's a nice little stick to enjoy while shopping smokingpipes for the next order: I want to try some Mac Baren and some HU, but first I have to figure out which ones I want.

Tat Escasos lancero (I think it's called the E?) Awesome smoke, but too moist outside after the rain and it burned wonky. I should've known better.

Yeah it's damp here too- 45°F with 87% RH. Taking a chance with an Oliva G Robusto. I like the box press and slightly shorter (4.5") length. Cameroon wrappers do not like MN winters- they can crack real easy when it gets super dry and cold.

Really appreciate the info. Based on your review, plus re-reading a few from the Katman last night, I went ahead and ordered Peruvitas, Nicaritas, and a fiver of something called Romano (5 X 40, natural) from the Cabinet Selection.
5 x 40 or 5.5 x 40 are really good sizes, IMO. Scratch that itch between a corona and panatela. Did they arrive yet? How are they?

For this afternoon, a Sobremesa Cervantes Fino 6.25x46. I have 4 or 5 Sobremesas of various vitolas, but never tried one, so today's the day.

Dunbarton has never done me wrong, and this is no exception. Very pleasant aroma and flavor, though maybe not as flavorful as the Mi Querida (if memory serves). It's a nice little stick. I’m glad that I have more.

They have arrived! Earlier this month. I'm gonna let 'em sit till early Feb (3 months).

Definitely agree on the size, that's a nice range. Speaking of such (and rest, for that matter) today I'm smoking a Mil Días XX (2020) Mareva @ 5.1 X 42

Quite good. I effed up and smoked a few too soon, thinking I could due to their age. Nope. This one's good with a little under 4 months box time. Still have 3 more...

Having today for the first time, My Father - Tabacos Baez Robusto.

My last order was all inexpensive sticks. I’m planning to really look more in the future too, to see what other good inexpensive sticks are out there.

This one was $3.80, and I’m really shocked at how nice this is for such a low price. We all know My Father has a name in the cigar world, I just never expected a cigar of this price to be quite nice.

Just starting out with it, being a Short Filler, I can’t say I’m noticing any differences.

Interesting, they even list them on their website. 🧐

Be well everyone! 🤙 ❤️

Cowra, New South Wales, Australia.
Joya Red robusto.

Quite earthy, leathery, with a buttery feel on the palate. No peppery tingle on the retrohale, which is nice when you are not in the mood for it. Will have to get more and stash away for a few months to see how they develop after a proper rest, rather than a few weeks. My humidor is in the low 60 to high 50% range though.

One of these days I'm going to put my big boys pants on and try the Antano line, but I do have a medio classic siglo coming to sample first.

Nice set up. Did you get the cedar shavings from a cigar box?
