I haven't been keeping up with this thread well at all! Last night the wife and I tried the Liga Privada minis and they were fantastic.

The smoke before that (sometime last week) was an experiment of sorts. At the Vegas show, I heard Greg Pease just swearing by the lancero shape. He said that it takes considerable skill to roll and that it makes for the best flavor possible in a cigar. I'd never had a lancero so I asked him what he thought of the torpedo, my personal favorite.

He admitted that you also have to be very skilled to roll a torpedo but said he didn't smoke them much because the shape actually increases the level of nicotine intake. "The funnel serves as a filter and the narrowing shape makes the nicotine hit harder," he said. "It doesn't sound like it could be true, but it is. It's also why I don't like conical bowls in my pipes."

All that said... last weekend I picked up a couple of Olivas. One lancero and one that GLP might consider a loser. Sure enough, the lancero won out.

First time trying Dunbarton's Sobremesa Solita.

I bought 3 of this short Churchill (4.75 X 48) at pipe club about 4 months ago.

They provide quite a bit of info on the constituent tobaccos Halfwheel review

So far, it's not seeming like a strong contender for my "punchy, tasty, little but not tiny" cigar spot. Had a nice, clear, and consistent Brazil nut note in the first third that I enjoyed

Been getting a lot of PM's (okay, none) about when my garage would be featured in this thread again, so feast your eyes
