Mahalia Jackson has a great Christmas album. Other than that I have a christmas playlist with various songs from many different countries. Christmas music is like hollywood movies: almost all of it sucks, so you've got to search for the hidden gems.

My all time favorite is Leon Redbone's Christmas album. His easy bluesy unassuming style is the perfect antidote for the harassing side of the holiday, irreverent but not mean.

This is my all time favorite single song, but hadn't ever seen the video until a few years ago. The Kinks released this before their 2nd resurgence (ahead of the Low Budget era).
