A third of the way through this bowl from a freshly opened tin of year 2024 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Watching the Mariners beat the stuffing out of the Braves. Fed all the cats. Harry the Hairy is acting like he's on speed, running around chasing anything that moves and some things that don't. The wind is blowing and a tree leaf was in the air. Harry chased it, jumped up and down on it, picked it up with his mouth, dropped it, pawed at it, ran to the other end of the deck to see what else might be moving, and then ran back to attack the cat tree we had made for the cats.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star mmmMocha, neat, is my drink. Not doing walking reps today because the rain comes and goes, so I'll be my lazy self instead. Tomato the Brave got a head start with that because he's been snoozin' since he ate. Daisy the Feral Princess ate outside, but since the rain started again, I brought her to eat some wet food. She's playing with a catnip sock now. Harry the Hairy has settled down and is watching her.

The grain on this pipe is just stunning. I am seeing more and more pipes made of Olive wood but I've never owned or smoked one.
Do you find a noticeable difference (pro or con) to a briar pipe??
It’s a bit denser so it’s heavier. That might vary depending on the piece of wood. Plus, mine is a fairly large pipe. But it smokes just fine. I don’t detect a flavor difference.
