Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and smoked the last of my open stash of year 2010 Penzance in a 1990s smooth dark brown medium bend Peterson Captain Pete XL80 bulldog with a metal accent and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. One of these days, I'll revisit this blend. Getting ready to watch the pre-game Orioles celebration of Cal Ripken, Jr. M'lady is going to feed the ferals. Daisy the Feral Princess is still inside and waiting to eat again as she stares at m'lady opening a can of cat food.

Now smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Sleepy Suzy is watching Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave eat their wet food. She'll get her own plate after I post this smoke. Harry the Hairy is eating outside.

I still remember my first tin of Samarra — I honestly didn’t understand it at all. In fact, the whole Original Mixture series initially struck me as rather sharp, even “unpleasant.” And it’s true that many smokers never come back to it for exactly this reason. But the real magic of Gregory Pease lies in the fact that his blends take time and patience. Each time I return to them, I discover new dimensions, and gradually I realize that this is tobacco of a truly special caliber. For me, it’s the pinnacle of the pipe smoking experience.

Did some low calorie snacking, and am smoking year 2016 Peter Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake in a straight smooth brown post-1964 Parker Super Bruyere 88/F group 3 bulldog with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Tomato the Brave is snorin' on the couch. Daisy the Feral Princess ate again and wanted out. As she went out, Harry the Hairy came in and will probably stay a while. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Molly Danger is snoozin' in the bed room.

Part way through this bowl of Watch City Jim’s Golden Ticket in a straight smooth brown mid-late 60s Corporate Era Barling 5579 London England (made by Charatan) lumberman with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Tomato the Brave wanted to eat in the kitchen, and was intimidated by Harry the Hairy who was blocking his way. I had to scold Harry which I always hate to do, but he's still got a true feral quality about him, and doesn't understand social skills. He does understand scolding though I never yell at him. Harry's rather skittish, so I'm gentle with him. Took a bit of my time, but I made sure Tomato ate in peace. Before and after that, Tomato was by my feet for security's sake. And after he ate the second time, Tomato wanted out. I let Harry go out once Tomato had a little distance from the door.

Last smoke of the day is Wilke Little Round Top in a straight smooth brown 2017 unbranded James Upshall Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I let Harry the Hairy in to eat, and after he did, he started scratching my chair, which I hate. I thought he wanted out, but he didn't. Each time that I opened the door, he ran off to the middle of the room. This happened three times before I realized that what he really wanted was to play with me. I threw a bunch of catnip balls to him. Those he didn't catch, he chased, batted around and chewed on them. Finally, after doing that about twenty or more times, he wore out, and laid down in the middle of six catnip balls. I was going to take a photo of it, but just as I was ready to snap a pic, he got up and went to the kitchen to drink some water. Then, he wanted out. At least he's happy.

Jim love reading your reviews! GOAT reviewer! Approx how many bowls a day do you average? I’m finding it difficult with work, family, and gym time trying to fit in a pipe sesh these days

Enjoyed a tasty red delicious apple, and am smoking year 2022 Solani 633 in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar post-WW2-mid 50s family era Barling’s Make Ye Olde Wood Straight Grain Made in England bulldog with a diamond shape shank and black ebonite stem. This pipe came from the estate of David Cuneo. Going to feed Sleepy Suzy who actually watched a few pitches of the Orioles-Dodgers game before she went back to snoozin'. As I DVR'd the game, it's in the seventh inning for me.
