Most Recent Smokes and daily Skippable Drivel, under pic as usual. Smoking a MM Minicob with my own Grape Mix as I type, a change from the usual CB Cherry. Very nice but no pic. Got too much to do on cleanup today and want to get started.

Two smokes from yesterday, a new pipe pairing and a correction from yesterday's post in Skippable Drivel. Here's a shot of the action:

Started yesterday's evening off with a visit from buddy Mike, and smoked my Ropp J06 with Borkum Riff Black Cavendish. An outstanding and frequent pairing of this tobacco and pipe, which thrives on BR Black, SWR and Smoker's Pride Whiskey and Cherry Cavendishes, that type of thing. Don't see a reason to change as this pipe is now fully broken in and I'm fond of all of these tobaccos. Go-to's, in fact.

In a continuation of putting my pipes into a regular rotation, I paired the two McQueen Prospectors, one a full size and the other a miniature, both in cherrywood, as a long-smoke short-smoke choice, going to the codgers, English, and Balkan tobaccos they both smoke great. Seemed logical. Did the pipsqueek with SP Rum Cured as a fodder this morning.. Excellent smoke with a codger-style burley blend.

Skippable Drivel: A correction from yesterday's post. Guess I was braindead late last night, and posted, along with the two McQueens shown today, the other McQueen Longstem named "Seafarer."

T'wasn't a cherrywood as I claimed. Checked the pipe today because I sensed something wrong. All of these longstems are heavily rusticated, and upon inspection, the grain was clearly Ashwood. Didn't matter result-wise because fully broken in ashwood smokes about anything well, and as it was biased for the same tobaccos I wouldn't have noticed the difference.

But being somewhat anal, I hate being sloppy. So apologies for this oversight, especially as I was offering my observations on cherrywood because I don't see many cherrywood pipes being featured on forum.

Cheers and have a great Friday.

You like the Martelo?

Yes, sure do; but the Steamworks is the focus of my comment. Love the stuff and have only one tin left. It will be rationed and treasured. Gone and a collectors' item. Hear C&D might reintroduce it in a year or two but given the fact that I'll be 75 in April, I won't be holding my breath. Or maybe I will. Permanently. :ROFLMAO:

Beauty! Don't think I've seen that one before. About to post and leave for town, and won't be back 'till tomorrow on forum. So, gotta do another double Kewpie. Again like the other, it has about everything I like in a pipe - except it should be rusticated because I destroy clear pipes. Pity. :) 👍👍
It's a new addition, which is why you haven't seen it around much until lately. I, too, typically like rustication or at least a blast, but this one and the recent Castello Collection just caught my eye. Both feel great in the hand and smoke like champs.

Well, i finally got to exploring the OJK range and enjoyed a bowl of the blue label in an SMS this fine, warm Houston afternoon. This would make for a great morning smoke with coffee. Nice burley right here.

Jeremy told me (at the Muletown pipe show) it would be back in 2026!
