New Dr. Grabow Royal Duke Bulldog with a stainless steel metal band and a bent saddle stem. Smoking a 2:1 mix of Sutliff Virginia Slices and 515C Red Virginia. Both tobaccos have separately aged for several years. If I enjoy this mix I’ll blend them and jar them and possibly press them for some additional aging.

You don't see either of those Shorts offered much but the 80S has been particularly absent. I haven't seen one for sale in years.

I had an Irish Harp 80s but I sold that once I got the Short 80s - just better proportioned (in my view)

Completely agree that the 80s is best proportioned in the Short series.

Are you looking at any others in the series? I'd like to land both an 80s and an 03, though I'm sure whatever 03 I find won't match the grain on yours.

Sounds like a good mix to me! I did some Yorktown/515RC1 and it wasn’t bad, but I’ll bet the 507C does better.

Half way through this bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1980 smooth walnut finish quarter bend Peterson 505 Rhodesian silver spigot military mount with a black vulcanite saddle stem fishtail bit. Watching the Cubs-Dodgers game with Sleepy Suzy still by my side. Molly Danger is snoozin' on m'lady's lap. Fed all the ferals except for the absent Abner the Eager. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' by my feet. Tomato the Brave is snoozin' near her as he lays on three cat toys. Harry the Hairy is outside.
