Just enjoyed a great bowl of Diebel’s Twist (Peter StokkebyeLuxury Twist Flake) in a Radice.
Straight virginia (Mellow Mallard) from a heritage-pipe. This noname briar is like ~45 years old and still functional. Smells good tastes good. My grandfather bought it from a local tobacconist then my father used it for some years. The pipe itself was probably made in Yugoslavia / somewhere on the Balkan - it's really interesting to think about how long a life of a briar can be and how many generations it can live through.

Just finished smoking year 2021 HU Directors Cut in a smooth slight bend dark brown 1940s-1950s Comoy’s Blue Riband 228C prince with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Watching the Braves-Phillies game, and am getting ready to clean a few pipes.
War Horse Bar in my Kaywoodie 42 apple. Most of the time, I just pinch a bit off the bar and rub it out, but I keep ending up with larger leaf pieces that lay flat in the bowl and make it harder to get going. So this time I got out my new Opinel and sliced it finer before rubbing out. That worked better. If WHB were a true plug instead of a sideways crumble-cake-thingy, there’d be no question about cutting it up!

Close to finishing this bowl of year 2014 Orlik Golden Sliced in an early 20th century Gordon Special Bruyere 49 apple with a triangular shank and tapered black vulcanite stem.
Aged burley flake. Unfortunately a year in the jar didn’t make me like this blend any more.
