I finally made it to this Group 6 bowl of the mild Spilman Mixture, in a big bent billiard sold to me as an Iwan Ries house pipe but not stamped by anyone. Rumor at the time said these might be from Savinelli, but there's no Sav aspect to this pipe at all. It's big but hangs gently. I'm guessing one of the other Italian factory pipe makers. The stem is stamped "italy" in small type.

Just cracked a tin of MM 965. One of a few mixtures I actually prefer fresh.
Smoking said amalgam in a Stanwell Dublin.
Extolled as "The finest mixture ever produced". :wink:

Almost half way through this bowl of Amphora Virginia in a black sand blasted straight 1998 XXX Ashton lovat with a black acrylic stem.

A wonderful bowl of C&D Engine 99 in my Pibe Dan reform cabbaged tribute. I'm beginning to think I don't many other Balkan blends besides this. Glad of red plonk on the side. The plonk isn't bad either.

Relaxing after a wonderful Lebanese lamb, feta cheese, black olives, tomatoes and rice dinner and am part way through this bowl of year 2011 MacBaren Norwood in a smooth medium bend 2011 Rinaldo Collection Fiammata Silver Line 7 Odea 4 bulldog with a silver band and a tortoise shell acrylic stem. Have enough for two more bowls. Watching the Mets-Dodgers game.
