I have never tried the mixture.The flake works well in a larger bowl pipe.It needs to dry straight out of the tin/Jar but don’t leave it too long as it loses its flavour.Some may say that’s a good thing.
Definitely a Marmite blend you either love it or hate it.I loves it

I do love the little transitions from rusticated to smooth. I have a Vauen like that, which I will show sometime soon.

Good day all! A bit knocked down from the new Moderna Covid booster I got yesterday, so am dragging my forlorn butt to the smoking lounge to test the medicinal qualities of Peterson Royal Yacht in an Upshall sandblast Canadian size 4.
Started the early morning with Prince Albert in my MOLINA 81011 with a good cup of Dark Roast coffee and will follow that this afternoon with some Captain Black Copper in the same pipe. The morning is not as cold as it has been and it looks like a few good days to lead in Thanksgiving.
2003 Royal Jersey Perique in a basic cob for the first day of Thanksgiving vacay. Hard to not do everything I can to save it forever, but Jim told me to just smoke it! So that's what I'm going to do!
3 Sails mixed with C&D White Burley in a Briarworks, drinking black coffee.

Wanted to try this for quite a while now. I used too much of the dark Cyprus Latakia but it's still a good smoke.
It's good when it happens good! On the side are some rubbed up flakes of the mead soaked Virginia Gold Lemon for the Clay King, drying out a little. I'm going to mix them with the other ingredients later and have a first taste of what the finished blend might turn out like. Really looking forward to it.

I don’t normally post cigars in this thread since it’s in the Pipe Tobacco Discussion section, but, thought I’d make an exception since this is in a pipe. Having a Havana Honeys Classic Cognac (2016) in a Meerschaum Skull in Hand Figural Cheroot with Amber Stem, probably late 19th or early 20th Century.

@Chaukisch Looking good; I really like your banded clay. I've been looking at the twine banded clay pipes at Smokingpipes.com and they remind me of yours. Just make sure you don't put the Latakia in the "Clay King"
I just ran across a stash of tins and bulk of 2006 Mac Baren Navy Flake. I can't remember the last time I smoked it, it is damn good. Smoking it in a Rad Davis Billiard.
I have some dear friends from Germany who cook traditional German food very so often, I get invited over and enjoy it. Lots of sausages and German potato salad. Just finished some Oriental in one, the other is waiting with a load of my first aromatic because I'm in the mood for something sweet now.

I was with my grandmother all sunday, she invited me over for a huge and delicious traditional kale meal we have over here during this season, with lots of fat, sausages and different meats, cooked for hours.

It was also snowing that day, the first snow this season and very fitting for the occasion. Afterwards we had some nice conversation, homemade cookies and many rounds of Rummikub. Good times.
Sure looks similar, it seems to have thicker chamber walls. More people are enjoying a clay pipe now,

About a third of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching Mad Dog Russo.
