I actually weirdly decided to take the day off from the pipe and have a cigar. An Esteban Carreres Covenant. It was actually really good. I have been smoking a pipe 99.9% of the time the last couple of years. This was my first cigar in probably 6 months. It was a nice change. Back to the pipe tomorrow.
Watching some hockey, Devils' Nico Hischier has a natural hat trick against Nashville. Took the dogs for a walk earlier, had a bowl of Three Nuns orange in a Castello pot.
Now smoking year 2014 Full Virginia Flake in a straight 1968 Dunhill Shell bulldog with a black vulcanite saddle stem.

Now smoking year 2018 Solani 633 in a straight 1954 patent Dunhill 148 Group 3 black shell bulldog made for the France market with a black saddle vulcanite stem. It's been a quiet evening. Daisy the Feral Princess has snoozed most of the day, and is outside. Only Abner the Eager is in, and he just woke up to eat.

Weather forecast shows Day & Night temps for about the next week won't go above 32 ... (Excellent!!!).
Got 2 unopened bottles of glühwein from last year's Holiday Season. Embellish with a piece of orange peel, a splash of rum or brandy, a cinnamon stick to stir ... hit the microwave for a minute or so. Memories of Nurnberg rush back. With good tobacco jarred, tins in the cellar, fridge & freezer loaded with good food soon to be scrumptiously hot & savory & nutritious, workouts going well, I'm thinking I'll survive. Also have fresh carton of vanilla ice cream, just need to add a pumpkin pie (or 2).
