Drew Estate Toasted Black Cavendish (surprise surprise, right?) in a Savinelli Mattone 614 faux-Hungarian, in the semi-ventilated workspace. Wifey grabbed a cigarillo and joined me, which I can only chalk up to either a decent room note or my charming personality. 😇 9/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, California towhee, Dark-eyed junco, American crow, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, Band-tailed pigeon, Western bluebird, Northern flicker, Hairy Woodpecker, Red-tailed hawk, White-breasted nuthatch, Mountain chickadee, and Spotted towhee.

@Sobrbiker I'm jealous! My nads would be up in my neck if I wore a t-shirt right about now... 🥶

A parcel arrived a couple of days ago with 3 bags of Wild West themed blends from The Country Squire.
A very generous gift from Robin aka @SunriseBoy

Yesterday’s smoke - Cherokee in an Ann Julie designed Stanwell shape 183.
IMG_8398.jpeg

Designed to take a 9mm filter.
I tried a Peterson filter for the very 1st time. The filter didn’t quite fit - the 3mm gap is very evident

The filtered smoke was very smooth.
I removed the filter after the 1st third of the bowl.
More flavour without the filter, with some “rough edges”
I thought the smoke with the filter was fine, but preferred it without.
