Down to 28F last night. Very windy. Crazy spring weather, espec at 7000+ feet, where I live. And people wonder why I don't plant my garden till june 1st. It's called experience, after losing too many plants to late freezes. Have to try grow tunnels sometime.

Not that it matters, but I think this is my favourite of your meers. The quarter bent stem, bowl shape, and design just work and fit together. Looks like it's taking on more color than the first time i really noticed it.. . . .

This is really too big a thread to discern some patterns until you've been here for a stretch.

Couldn't sleep, so I'm up and smoking year 2016 D&R Two Timer Gold in a straight, black sandblasted pre-1970 Comoy’s Sunrise Etched Grain straight Liverpool 309 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Going to do a little research.

Hate to tell you this, Jimi, but I slept REAL well last night. And am feeling a lot better! But the real point of this post is that this pipe is a four-leaf clover that I've overlooked before. A truly beautiful, elegant smoking machine! And I bet it smokes just great! Liking my straight pipes more and more, too.

Trying a new blend Ruins of Windsor in my Hardcastle Canadian. Very pleasant, and cool smoke.

That 999 is very comfortable. All p-lip bits are comfortable for me. My teeth must have been made to smoke them.

I think we all have anomolies that we use when smoking a pipe. I only have one P-lip, my big Pete, and I love it. But I don't need the P-lip. I have a built-in one. I cant my pipe-stem a bit to the left. I have a built-in P-lip due to two somewhat protruding "fangs" as a few friends call them - I rest my stem on the outside of them, and draw the smoke through the teeth onto the roof of my mouth. Also use these little fanglets to bit thread, cord, etc to the point where they are now flattened.

I'd be very interested to know if others have similar anomolies they use when smoking a pipe. And an answer to the question - in spite of this "gift", why do I get tongue and lip bite so easily? Chime in, please!

Great Monday morning on the bicycle! This afternoon I have fired up the Webber Kettle. I am cooking a couple of whole chickens and some ribs. Prep cooking quick dinners for the week. 2013 LBF in this pipe I bought at The Briary. It is stamped The Briary. It’s a great smoker! Iced tea.

I have the same weather problem - I live at 6000+ feet, over 3000 feet higher than the "bowl area" of Prince George which is only 12 miles south and is at the confluence of the Nechako and Fraser Rivers. I'm in Zone 2, boreal forest, I think it's called, whereas PG is in Zone 4 and has a 2 month longer growing season. We have in Zone 2, only 65-70 reliable frost free days. Much of what I "harvest" is wild stuff like dandilions, vetch, and cattail. Only safe stuff in a garden, which I can no longer do. It is what it is. Cute little pipe btw.
