I've never seen a meer claw that was not one solid piece. But the coloring is something we are all still trying to figure out lol. I'm only at 8 bowls with this one (humidity sucks) but the claw is getting noticeably darker than the egg already. Could be finger oils, as it's where I hold it. But it's definetly not dirt. I can't wipe it away. My meer apple would get almost black where I touched it, from my gross fingers.Hi, I have claw-egg Meerschaums like yours. The shank and claws caramelize well, but never the egg, so I assume it's by design. Maybe the egg is African while the base is Turk? Or different curing to acheive the effect? Do you know? TIA!
Can we get pics of the other side?Union Square in a Don Carlos Canadian.
