Part way through this bowl of year 2002 MacBaren Navy Flake in a 2004 Stanwell EM 2004 black sandblasted straight billiard in a gold accent ring on the shank and gold “s” on the black tapered acrylic stem. Have enough left for most of one more bowl.

Samuel Gawith Black XX in a silly Pipex VP pocket (basically a pipe I don't smoke because I really don't like the shape, despite being a good smoker).

My last experience with this...thing had me dump the bowl after a couple of puffs, disgusted by the stale burning oil taste. This time I soldiered on and found that although the oil taste never goes away, and does stay in the mouth and nostrils, there's a lot to be found in this tobacco, will smoke again!

Having found my plug knife I thought I would settle down to a little pre-Monday paper work and a small bowl of Warrior Plug. I am using this 3 1/2' 'cutty' pipe which came in a case embossed with the words "My Little Friend" and this is/was a registered trademark. I have no idea of this pipes age or who made it and any information would be gratefully received.

More likely from a range designed as a gift to a special friend similar to "My chum" on a clay pipe case (which I've lost) and "My Sweetheart" on a cased pair of the cutest briars I've ever seen:-

As for the age and manufacturer:
As far as I know meers of the period didn't have maker's marks on them with any details printed on the fitted cases making it difficult to ascribe a maker once the pipe has become separated from its case.
However, judging by the shape of the bowl the pipe is from the 1880s and the country of manufacture has got to be Austria possibly by Ludwig Hartmann & Eidam (Son), Wien (Vienna) founded in 1829.

Similar shape:-

One or two similar shapes from the Hartmann 1880 catalogue:-
