Hard to get pics with the horrendous reflections. Maybe one day I’ll be able to remove the glass and get better pics..

As you can see, tons of detail. Almost too much to take in with these poor, strained photos.

Difficult situations to photograph - a polarizing filter is about the only way to eliminate reflections, and then you'll run into exposure hassles. Been there and done that.

Last Evening's Smoke: Just another continuation of the break-in of my favourite ugly, the Mr. Brog #52 "Scoot". Probably the final one, it's #5. Did the "Parfait" thing, with a base of Capt. Black dark, a middle of my genre favourite, Borkum Riff Dark Cavendish, and a top of Smoker's Pride Cherry Cavendish.

The pipe spoke to me, and said to me from the top down, "cherry go away, BK okay, and CB here to stay."

Quite surprised, actually, figuring on the BK, but as the bowl on this sucker is huge, and I got bored after a full 90 minutes and put it down. . . . . . . and I've already designated this monster as my opera pipe . . . . I'll put it aside for a couple of days, and use the CB Dark as a starting point to finalize the tobacco, genre and/or opera and movie that'll amuse me for a couple of hours.

I'd probably be wise to listen to "THE THING"; . . . this is the 2nd time that its preferred the Captain Black. I really like the tobacco, have lots of it. so maybe it's a done deal. To be continued . . . . and continue to be amazed at how well this beast smokes.

The line "Every Silver Lining Has Cloud" is from a 1980s British Television show put out by BBC, which featured puppets from the Royal Family as buffoons. Can't remember the name of the show, but it was Monty Pythonesque in it's use of lampooning type of humour.
The show was called 'Spitting Image' and it was merciless to politicians, too. I miss it a lot - especially now there's such a crop of new potential victims in UK, richly deserving the same treatment.

Did a set of walking reps, chatted with a neighbor, and am close to finishing this bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a slight bent black pattern etched 1977 Lorenzo Lorsan Sigma level top billiard with a gray swirl acrylic saddle stem. Back to watching the ball game. Did not see Abner the Eager.
