Home blend "orbiting" around a base of red va with some perique and a touch of burley. Good stuff on a gorgeous afternoon in a Radice Pure billiard.

I’ve wanted a Rind Pure for quite awhile now. What’s your opinion on yours. It appears to have really broken in nicely.
Yours is my favorite I’ve seen BTW.

Sutliff 507-C in the Vauen Olaf bent egg sitting in a lawn chair in backyard under thunder. There is a Severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 10 p.m. but within that warning was a warning from 5:33-6:15 of another thunderstorm moving at 25mph with 60mph gusts and 1" hail. It just went through ... no hail but the downpour of freezing rain dropped the temps at least 20 degrees, the trees were swaying 5-6' both ways ... one lightening bolt came down in my neighbors yard that caused me to jump up and head under the porch ... it was like a meteor strike ... I'm surprised nothing caught fire. You have to love a free thunder and lightening nature show on the eve of 4th of July while smoking a pipe !!

I tell ya this though, this PEE DEE be good with some coffee.

Sitting on patio enjoying a very welcome rain (and light show) in a lull of what’s been a hellaciously windy thunderstorm. 87* feels cool after the last few days.
Enjoying a sample of ‘21 KBV Verve Engine that @lukasstrifeson included on a recent purchase-thanks!
Pipe is an interesting Peterson Sterling banded 338-has a block made in Ireland COM stamp with what looks like a 1999 hallmark.

It was too windy earlier, but yall get an obligatory horse pic anyway. It kind of counts, because I had a snort of Scottish snuff (thanks @khiddy!)

Half way through this bowl of year 2017 Esoterica Dorchester in a straight smooth dark brown octagonal paneled mid-60s-early 70s Corporate Era Barling 4945 London England T.V.F. billiard with a square shank and black tapered square stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. The only feral who's cared to be awake is Tomato the Brave. He knows it's his wet food time. Abner the Eager and Harry the Hairy have been snoozin' all day. Daisy the Feral Princess has been outside snoozin' most of the time. I'm watching the Braves-Angels game.

About once a year, I get this Capri "Warlock" churchwarden out. It never seems like a natural fit to me. I have some Peterson's Night Cap loaded and sparkling water to drink.

I would say that it makes me look rather "Hobbitish" but last I checked there are not many 6' 7" Hobbits.

But, when they call for one..... By George, I'm gonna be ready!!

Hey there, SB.

Fine looking pair of horses.
Do you shoe them or do they go without shoes? Reason I ask is I have had farriers tell me that have worked out west that horses in the southwest have much harder feet, due to the drier conditions, than ours out here in Tennessee and Kentucky. I had one tell me that you have to be really careful starting the nail as the foot is so hard that the nail will fly off when you hit it if not started well.

A little of both…we do half sets (front shod, rear barefoot).
I don’t know about the urban legend of hard feet, they can get dry but on the other hand they (at least Bob) can get very susceptible to softening and thrush if they get damp for any length of time (even not being turned out for a couple days), and with the high silty clay sediment our dirt is when we do get moisture it sticks around for a bit.
If we got out trail riding more they’d be shod front and rear.

I bought this one from a fine member here, actually. A perfect smoker (it's in use probably 4-5x a week), lightweight and so far i mostly use it for VA blends, which it seems to get along great with. Not to mention, it's coloring quickly! Not to push the PAD beyond any limits you may have been diligent to constrain it to, i'd say if you like the look, i wouldn't hesitate on one. Hard to go wrong with Radice, as you may well know. ;)

And after such thoughts on Radice, i'm ready for another. 2013 Hamborger Veermaster in a Radice XL blasted square shanked billiard.
