Iced cold water hit the spot on another 80+F day, thankfully without the energy-sapping high humidity of yesterday. The faintest of cooling breeze is also a welcome relief

Onto my 2nd SG sample for the afternoon - a bowl of SG Black Forest

In another "modern" BritWood - this time a large **Ferndown Bark silver-banded Bent Bulldog with tapered stem by Les Wood.

How much did you end up getting out there? We’re forecasted to to receive 4-6 inches of snow, with up to an inch of ice in top of it. Hoping to keep power through it all.?
Might get a quarter inch of ice here but nothing compared to what might fall your way. Stay safe my friend. I saw on the weather channel that Charlotte could get anywhere between .5 to 1 inch of ice. That's catastrophic.

Thanks, Fur. My parents live on the outskirts of Charlotte. They think that since they survived 2 weeks without electricity and water, after Hurricane Hugo, they can withstand an ice storm. It doesn’t matter that it happened 32 years ago.?

Fran, along with an ice storm, knocked out my power for two weeks and it is not a pleasant experience. Like yourself I have a generator and gas logs. I learned my lesson. I hope your parents are prepared and have good neighbors to lean on. I was really hoping we didn't get an ice storm.
