Early-mid 20th cent. unknown maker Calabash with insert domed sunken cup meerschaum bowl in the style common of today but unusual when made when it was more usual for the gourd to have a lining made of clay or gypsum/plaster-of-Paris with a silver, gold or plated base metal bowl mount
