Firebird in a new to me Brebbia Millennium Pura that I just finished cleaning up. This will be my first taste of Firebird and my first smoke in the Brebbia calabash.

Going to have Seattle Pipe Club Mississippi River in a Savinelli Estar Full Bent Billiard 614 with a yellow acrylic stem and gold stamped jeweled crown on the left side. This finish is closer to the Stellar line and not as veiny as the Estella pipes by Savinelli.

Starting my day with Cornell & Diehl Pegasus in a Country Gentleman cob with an old Danish bit stem, and trying out Vauen's 6mm Dr. Perl Junior charcoal filters for the first time. Also wishing it wasn't -8°F out here! 
My initial impression of the 6mm Dr. Perl charcoal filters is that they definitely seem to offer the best filtration of any of the 6mm filter options and smooth out the rough edges of a blend a ton, without dampening the flavor like the paper Dr. Grabow or Medico filters can. The only real downside to the charcoal filters is that they tighten up the draw quite a bit, but it seems like a worthwhile trade off for how good of a job they do taking all the harshness out of a Burley blend without lessening the flavor.

Reflecting on Haunted Bookshop. Still have a few more smokes of my free sample, I don’t think it’s gonna be an in stock item, but I may be more interested in playing with more American burley blends.

Great experiment! I love doing that kind of thing . . . . did a similar adventure dumping the tobacco out of cigars and putting them in a pipe. Lots of flops, but a couple of real keepers.
To @BriarBrook I fortunately survived 44 years of work and have graduated to a 67 yr. retired Codger lol, I have found the humbler a man lives, the more comfort he will always have, because he will be more fitted to receive it.
