Now Smoking: Still working through the last few bowls of the wonderful experimental batch of 50% Hearth & Home Signature Series Louisiana Red, by Russ Ouellette, which I amped-up with 50% Sutliff TS 20 Perique, granulated.

I also graduated smoking this amazing blend out of my experimental beater/tester pipe, and because I am watching the 1959 b&w crime drama VICE RAID, starring the overly-endowed bomb-shell Mamie Van Doren, I figured it only fitting to load up my most well-endowed pipe, being my big Brigham Heritage Brandy/Apple '39' with semi-bent acrylic stem.

I am ready to order a couple of pounds of H&H Louisiana Red in the morning, I am that sold on this fantastic blend of 2 different Red Virginias and Perique (Acadian). I encourage anyone who hasn't tried this Signature-Series VaPer blend to do so.

While amping-up the Perique-level may not be desired by some, it gives me the very substantial nic-hit I am looking for in a smoke without adding any Burley - unless you count Perique as a Red Burley varietal - or Cigar Leaf in the blend to do so; amazing. - Sherm Natman

Not far from finishing this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. Just fed Daisy the Feral Princess and the ever hungry Tomato the Brave, who, if he could talk, would claim he's underfed. :rolleyes:Since he started staying here, he's probably gained three to four pounds as a guess. Daisy's put on a little weight, too.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am half way through this bowl of Watch City Original Crumb Cut in a 1950s-60s straight smooth brown Bertram 07 octagonal paneled billiard with a square shank and a tapered black vulcanite stem.

My last smoke of the day is the last of my stash of AceFour’s VaBur in the third pipe I ever bought ($1.95), a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley NEBPC apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Reading while this bowl lasts.
