Bayou Morning in a Falcon, to see whether it’s as good as it seemed on Wednesday evening

IMG_2279.jpeg

Yes. Yes, it is.

After Wednesday's bowl, my wife said, "What did you smoke? You smell like New Orleans in the 80s." (Her father was a newspaperman, and she'd traveled with him to conventions in New Orleans back then.) I don't know whether a lot of Perique was smoked in New Orleans oyster bars in the 80s, but it must have been enough that Bayou Morning triggered her memory.

I've passed the half way mark of this bowl of Wilke Surbrug’s Crystal Palace in a dark brown smooth straight post-WW2 LHS Certified Purex 79 bulldog with a nickel ferrule and tenon with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Molly Danger was intimidating Harry the Hairy, and savagely hissed and chased him away from m'lady. I picked the poor fella up, put him on my lap, and gave him attention until he felt better. he still wanted out in the cold and rain, so I had to let him go to recuperate. On a better note, John got home and Norton the Nosey was waiting for him and for more Fancy Feast. John said Norton's eating more each day. I hate to say that I told him so, buttttttttttt.... :)

Apologies for a non-tobacco related question. Vet told me this week that adult ferals will only bond with one human. Do you find this to be true?

Most significant rain we’ve had in awhile.
I’m back in the garage with KW Meer and Watch City FUSTG. A very solid Burley centric blend with a nice touch of Red Va and Perique.
Checking the weather radar to see if there’s going to be a lull during evening feeding chores.

Almost half way through this bowl of KBV Burley Beta in a medium bend smooth paneled 2017 Celebi Turkish Meerschaum with a tapered gold and black swirl acrylic stem. Ismail made this meer for me as a token of friendship. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

I don't know what the percentages are on that subject, but it's very likely that there is some truth to it. I know that isn't true with the ones who hang out here. Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave are closer to me than they are to m'lady, but they have bonded with her as well. I spend more time with those two.

Harry the Hairy probably never had a human being like him, but we have taken care of that. He's still reluctant for attention at times, and often ducks his head when I go to rub it, but after a back rub, he'll lift his head up for a little rubbing. He likes me a lot and we have bonded, but m'lady spends more time with him, and he's bonded with her more deeply. I would say that all of this is not atypical of animals in general.
