Coming back to this CLASSIC blend Dunhill's Elizabethan Mixture, for me the yard stick upon which all Va/Per can be measured. Burning it in this Doctor's Bamboozled Sandblast Brandy -

C&D Nutty Irishman in the Morgan Bones Brandy.
When I first tried this tobacco I may have cussed it out and maybe slightly threatened the blender.
Its still pretty bad, tastes nothing like tobacco, but its tolerable enough to keep trying it.
As with the other C&D aromatic I have, Autumn Evening, it needs to be smoked very slowly. Even just a tiny push and it turns to hot ash.

Nice pipe! I've been jonesing for a Morgan Bones for a while! How do you like yours, and was it stained or has it naturally colored?

Breaking My Pattern this morning, with a pipeful of a new tobacco, St. James Flake by Samuel Gawith, a gift from a friend returning from a trip south. Smoking it in my McQueen Miniature Barrel Rider.

He couldn't get Mad Fiddler, but the tobacconist said that this offering by Gawith was very similar.

It is, and I love it. Even with diluted tastebuds, the presence of Perique and Virginias is absolutely terrific. Doesn't have the Kasturi of MF, but is right up my alley.

Can't do the post reviews I'd like to do right now. I wish I could say and apple a day, but we're talking bushels. :ROFLMAO:

It was natural.
It smokes great but the stem is very narrow compared to the "average" stem. That's not an issue with me, but might be for some people. The stem may be wider on other shapes.
Here it is new, and now. Its been smoked maybe 20x. Notice the Bones emblem went from gray to jet black even.
