@halfdan yes the end of the present Borders railway known historically as the Waverley Line lies five miles away. Most mornings I walk my dog along the disused track bed. Locally there is still talk of extending it all the way to Carlisle. Aye it’s all in the packing mate ?
Happy smokes
Ettrick puffer
@Ettrick puffer I've been walking the Monsal Trail in Derbyshire again today; I especially like walking through the tunnel as it gives a unique experience.
Today I smoked my clay pipe in the tunnel:)
Still like to blow a cloud of pipe smoke...

Finishing a long 20 hour day that included a complex fire scene and a 7 hour drive. Enjoying some GH American Cherry Vanilla in a 1897 F. Edward’s & Co. Meer and a Big Ass Glass of Larceny Bourbon.

+ HOLLAND HOUSE:-
View attachment 94394
@virkia I enjoyed it in my clay; one of the Lace Wars re-enactors I met at Cromford Mill in 2019 gave me a pipeful of Holland House - he taught me to blow through the pipe every few puffs.
My clay pipe of Limerick flake went down like the Titanic:)
