I’ll be off the WAYS thread for a while. I’m having lumbar fusion surgery on 5/21. I will have several bone grafts and evidently nicotine inhibits their healing. I won’t be smoking for a month before and at least 3 months after. A guy needs his lower back to work right and not hurt. I’ll be around otherwise.
Good luck and wishes for a speedy recovery!

Half way through this bowl of year 2014 Esoterica Tilbury in a straight smooth Danish gold straight grain undated W.O. Larsen Hand Made in Denmark dublin with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo.

Beautiful pipe, made even more special by the previous owner.

First time try of Three Nuns in a Stefano smooth Rhodesian, while catching up on some reading that might interest @BingBong regarding how the futures market is used to manipulate gold and silver prices. Fascinating stuff! And a great blend, very well behaved. 9/10

Bird report: White-breasted nuthatch, White-crowned sparrow, House finch, California towhee, Steller's jay, American crow, California scrub-jay, Mountain chickadee, California quail, Blue-gray gnatcatcher, Oak titmouse, Hairy woodpecker, Northern flicker, Spotted towhee, and Mourning dove.

Doing a bit of spring cleaning for the cellar (you may see me in the FS section later this week), and deciding what to smoke for the big 4-0 on Thursday.... 🤔

May your surgeon be skilled and having a great day.
Good on you for following their instructions, out of 4 guys at work that had same shoulder surgery in the same year I was the only one that didn’t have problems. I was also the only one that didn’t do anything I wasn’t supposed to during the recovery process.
