Near the half way mark of this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Daisy the Feral Princess has been in and out three times in the last hour, but she ate twice, and a little more than usual. She also roadblocked me when I got up so I would pay attention to her. She got her way as usual. Tomato the Brave was extra hungry and got extra food. Then, he wanted to go back out to snooze on the deck lounge. He picked that spot a few days ago, and has spent most of his time there.

Did some low calorie snacking, and am smoking year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Daisy the Feral Princess has been in and out twice since my last post, but she's laying by my feet now. I think she just wants the attention.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and am close to finishing this bowl of first production Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar family era Barling’s Make Billiard 6 with a tapered black vulcanite stem. The stampings suggest 1930s, but the “6” is a previously unknown stamp number and placement. This pipe is from the estate of David Cuneo. Watching the best documentary on the JFK assassination that I have seen: JFK Revisted: Through the Looking Glass.

Alaska
It was a notable day for a pipe – I walked the dog today without a hat or gloves for the first time since Alaska has been thawing out of our long winter. It was very nice to hold the pipe in my hand without an insulating layer in between. The pipe is an unlabeled red root (probably a 50s LHS or Wally Frank second) filled with the last of my non-aromatic odds and ends hodgepodge. A great smoke on a warm Spring day. Couldn’t be better.

Last smoke of the day is year 2018 D&R Windsail in a 2018 full bend smooth natural Peterson Sherlock Holmes Lestrade with a silver band and a black vulcanite saddle p-lip stem. Fed all the cats except for Abner the Eager. Hope I'll see him soon. Time to read baseball box scores.
