First try of a sample of...drumroll please...Sutliff Sweated, in a MM Dagner Poker. Surprisingly sweet and pleasant, even on the retrohale. Glad it was a notable departure from the tin note, which to me smelled of sweaty socks, rancid Roquefort, and the inside-front panel of Jerome Powell's underwear after a long day of reciting doctored statistics and lying about inflation. 9/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, California towhee, House finch, California quail, California scrub-jay, American crow, Northern flicker, Blue-grey gnatcatcher, Steller's jay, Red-tailed hawk, and Spotted towhee.

Vegetarian chili on the docket for tonight, so to any of you folks downwind of me, I preemptively apologize. ;)

Enjoyed a fun day being interviewed by Mike Morales and his son. Got lots of smoking in, too. When we filmed outside, Harry the Hairy was afraid of them as he is of most people. He hid under the deck for hours. Tomato the Brave came around several times where I was sitting, hoping for his chance at stardom, but he was not tall enough to get on the video. Right now, I just finished smoking year 2020 D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 lumberman with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Did not see Abner the Eager today.

Not far from finishing this bowl of first production Watch City English Ernie-ental in a straight dark brown and tan rusticated Peterson 2023 Saint Patrick’s Day 264 Canadian with an Irish flag colored ferrule and tapered black acrylic stem. Watching the Braves-Jays game that I missed today.

Did some snacking, and closing in on the first third of this bowl of year 2020 D&R VIP in a 2004 smooth long shank Trever Talbot Ligne Bretagne Faite en Bretagne 4/3 lumberman with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

I mistakenly posted this blend earlier when I smoked the CAO meer. I actually smoked C&D Carolina Red Flake 2024 (Small Batch) in a 1986 three quarter bend Bacchus face CAO meer with a tapered dark tortoise shell colored acrylic stem.

A third left of this bowl of Wilke Wall Street in my old reliable straight grain brown medium bend 1986 smooth Peterson Kildare 999 Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Finally got the three estate pipes I've been working on clean. That makes twenty-five out of the fifty ready to smoke, six of which I dedicated to particular blends. I've half way got the bowl reamed on another, and when I finish that one, I'll take a break from cleaning them. The ferals have been quiet this evening.
