@dd57chevy Midsomer must be the murder capital of England; you wouldn't go on holiday there:)

Went to Ye Royal Oak in Chesterfield for the Grand Re-opening yesterday; wore my Knight coif & surcoat. "Sir Daniel" attracted a great crowd!
I wasn't the only Knight there:

Good beer & company; got bought a pint and the new owners say can have a free one if I draw the pub.

Son visiting for the weekend and great help today chainsawing and cleaning up a couple deadfalls. 👍 Now, The Aperitif in a pre-Cadogan Comoy's Sandblast Medium Billiard and rehydrating with Liquid Death. Bonfire at the neighbor's tonight (appropriate screwcap Washington Cabernet selected 🍷). KEXP featuring a string of Tears for Fears music and covers.. Why, I don't know, but LOVE IT!

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, cod and green beans dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking a bowl from a freshly opened tin of year 2010 Penzance in a 1990s smooth dark brown medium bend Peterson Captain Pete XL80 bulldog with a metal accent and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Before the hoarding and scalping became a regular practice, I saw people unconcerned about making a profit smoking this blend. :) The tobacco is very moist. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a good enough photo that really showed the sugar crystals.

I finished watching the movie, LEE. It's not your typical WWII movie, but that's not a bad thing. It does remind one of some of the atrocities committed. Great care was taken in the recreation of the photographs Lee took, some of which you see during the end credits. If you want an action packed WWII movie, this is not it, but it's certainly a good movie to smoke a pipe while watching and contemplate the effects the war may have had on some people who lived it or documented it without fighting in it. The ending surprised me. Had two great smokes while watching. Now I'm relaxing with my final smoke of the day, my own Hobbiton Harvest (may change to Hobbiton Holiday) in a Peterson Roslare Royal Irish 106.1000000772.jpg1000000773.jpg
