Late afternoon post-lightning/squall intense storm (for now) bowl of Rattray Bagpiper's Dream in a Wilke smooth Billiard with pencil shank and pinch-waist stem. Hunkered down in the garage awaiting the next storm wave. Last bowl to smoke in this life? Probably Royal Yacht would be today's answer.

Not far from finishing this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked. Gold Star Mocha, neat, is my drink.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Was out playing wth a couple of the feral cats. Big Stripesy just loves attention. Daisy does, too, and was rather jealous about it, so she got her time, and it was Stripesy's turn to be jealous. Rather amusing, I thought.

Going to have Captain Earle's Ten Russians in a Savinelli Punto Oro Bulldog 514 KS. Interestingly, this Punto Oro has no brass dot. This pipe is probably from the '70s when Savinelli "added a vulcanite insert to the shank to welcome the floc mouthpiece." It's also possible that the stem is a replacement, but, it fits perfectly. I've seen military mount Punto Oros without a dot, so maybe everything is as it should be. Who knows?
