Stopped at the local Goodwill today. Hadn't been there in 6 or 8 months. Someone must have just brought in their Dad's (Grandpa's?) album collection. I picked up 20 albums in absolute MINT condition! Mostly Jackie Gleason, a few Herb Alperts I didn't have, and about 7 George Shearing albums.
Let me tell you folks- these albums are all first issue, mostly mono, and sound fantastic! Best part was that they were .50 cents each........... ?
Just listened to this Live Shearing album. Some HEAVY hitters on this........... talent galore!!
Today's selections have included the Michael Brecker Band, Victor Wooten, Lettuce, John Scofield (Uberjam album), and a nice ambient electronic album from producer "Bluetech" -cool selections in this thread!
